Home Schooling Your Children Is The Best Alternative

Home Schooling has been on the rise in the United States sine 1999 and with the way things are going with public school and even private schools i can see why at least over 1 million kids are being home schooled in America. The advantages are very obvious over public schools in that when you are sending your child to a public school your son or daughter is basically at the mercy of the public school education program which is also under the bureaucracy that is known as the department of education which , especially during these harsh economic times cannot possibly have the resources to take on the responsibility of looking after every need that a teenager has. It basically cost about $400 to $600 a year to home school your children and you don’t have to worry about them being bullied by some bigger student and the elementary school not having the resources to check on the behavior of every student. Imagine all of our tax payers money going towards public schools which cant look after our kids the way we can look after them and discipline them ourselves.

We have established the fact that homeschooling is far less expensive then the traditional forms of school out there. also, who better to instill the right morals to your children then his parents? Why do you think that so many parents , after so many years of just sending their kids off to public school, one day find out that they have developed some bad habits, or developed some very bad addictions or just as bad, started hanging out with the wrong crowd and you wonder why he or she didn’t grow up the way you initially raised them? Well, considering that your teen spends at least 8 hours of his or her day in a public school it starts to become a major influence in their lives, especially in teenagers who are almost at adulthood and having all of these changes happening inside their bodies. What they need now is a best friend more then ever, and who can a kid trust more then his own parents in this world? Who would have their best interests at heart more then you or I?

Now that we have established the main differences between homeschooling and sending your kids to public schools, lets take a look at private schools.

Private schools are known for the attention and care that they give to their kids and kids that have gone through the private school system generally think of this time with very fond memories. I know this personally as i have a nice and nephew currently going to private schools and they have had nothing but smiles when talking about the things that they have done this past school year. The only problem with sending your kids to private schools is that most people in America, especially these days with our economy in shambles don’t have the kind of money that private school charge to us. It just isnt realistic to believe that most parents in America these days can afford this for their children. So for a measly 400 to 600 dollars a year Homeschooling your kids wins out here over private schools just on the basis of cost effectiveness.

Some people these days feel that homeschooling your kids will not allow them to be socially balanced because they don’t get to interact much with kids their age. They do have a point to some extent but this problem can be fixed in a hurry by communicating with other homeschooled parents in your immediate area and forming a one day or 2 day a week meet up where the kids can get together and do some fun activities. When the parents really put their kids first anything can be done. Don’t forget the many different home schooling software currently available online.
